Infant hair loss is normal.Hair loss problem is not only possibly suffered by adult people, but also by children and infant. You may be surprised at the first time until you know about how infant hair loss can happen. There are two main reasons which commonly trigger infant hair loss. Firstly, it is because their hair is in the period of change between the growing phase and the resting phase. Their hair follicles reach the resting phase at the same time, and then they start to shed. The se

cond reason is the hormonal change. The significant decrease of their hormones after birth leads to hair loss. Do not be afraid, this condition may only last in their first semester, and then their hair will grow normally.

There are other things that also may cause infant hair loss, such as fungal infection, a single sleeping position, or tri-chotillomania. The fungal infection, called Tinea Cap

itis, is signed by the patchy bald spots with flaky and red scaling. The parents also have to give attention to the sleeping position of their baby. The same sleeping position for a long time may leave bald patch on their heads. It is also common for baby to have tri-chotillomania, in whi

ch they like to rub and scratch their scalps or pull their own hair.

The use of suitable hair products for baby may help to maintain the health of their hair, but if you, as the parents, indicate an abnormal hair loss in your babies, it would be good to get a consultation with the doctor.
